to the website of Sweet Union Republican Women! We are a group of Union County North Carolina women from all walks of life who meet together with the common goal of electing Republicans to office. To that end, we seek to educate the public with the principles of freedom, equality and justice for which our party stands and upon which the government of this country is founded. To promote these principles, we cooperate with the National and North Carolina Federations of Republican Women with whom we have been affiliated since April, 2002. At our monthly meetings, we fellowship, hear interesting speakers and learn of opportunities to serve our community. Come join us!

Harold Johnson
Harold is a proud Marine and served at Camp Lejeune where he was an expert rifleman and honorably discharged. He spent over three decades as an award-winning broadcast journalist on TV and radio for WSOC Channel 9 and WBT 1110 where he was tagged "The Big Guy." Harold served as Channel 9's Sports Anchor and Director, and was a 4-time EMMY winner as the Mid-South's Sportscaster of the Year. He retired from WSOC in 2006. He is currently the Republican nominee for NC 8th Congressional District.
